Kodak Black Denied Bond, Ruled a “Danger to the Community”

Kodak Black will remain in prison, despite being granted release on $550,000 bond with house arrest earlier this month.

Yesterday, during a U.S. District Court hearing, Judge Federico Moreno ruled that the 21-year old rapper will be detained until trial, calling him a “danger to the community” in Florida. This was due to the guns he was attempting to get hold of, along with his criminal history.

“I’m very concerned with the type of guns he wanted to get a hold of … and that he has a prior [criminal history],” Moreno said. “He was out on bond [from South Carolina sexual assault case], and he committed an offense. I think he’s a danger to the community because he wants to have access to guns.”

Black was originally arrested May 11th at Rolling Loud. The arrest was due to him filling out a Firearms Transaction Record, a federal document required to buy a gun from a dealer. Kodak reportedly checked “no” when asked if he was currently under indictment for a crime.
