Kota The Friend is one of the brightest artists coming out of New York City at the moment. Ahead of the Brooklyn rapper’s latest album dropping next week, we’ve got an exclusive premiere of his new track “Backyard,” and it’s an all-out celebration.
“This song is like a homecoming for me,” Kota told us. “Whenever I get back to New York after a tour it feels good to vibe with my friends and just kick it. This is what I see and hear when I think about Summer in New York.”
FOTO arrives May 15th, with guest features from Saba, Isa Reyes, Lizzy Ash and Hello Oshay — it serves as the follow-up to last year’s Anything. project.
