Last week, Kurupt made a trip to the Breakfast Club to just drop game to the youth and share gems to those who didn’t experience the Death Row movement. In the talk, he explained how Philadelphia raised him but didn’t become a man until he moved to Los Angeles in his later teen years.
While out there, he linked up with Snoop Dogg through battle rap, which led to him uniting with Daz as Tha Dogg Pound. He eventually explained why the majors shied away from releasing Dogg Food (first independent album in the ‘90s to top Billboard), which backfired on their end years later.
Things segued into rare stories from Death Row, including an eye raising one with his friend Suge Knight. Before the conversation ended, he gave his side on the unfortunate fallout with Tupac Shakur days before his passing and a rare story on when Dr. Dre got shot multiple times.
