Monday, Durk Derrick Banks, known by the entertainment world as Lil Durk, was formally cleared of all charges in connection to a 2019 shooting. Durk was originally facing charges of facing counts of attempted murder, aggravated assault, participation in criminal street gang activity, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

However, Prosecutors in Fulton County, Georgia, have dropped multiple charges against, in a filing made by the Attorney’s Office last week. Durk’s Attorney Manny Arora issued a statement saying, “I am glad that the charges from three plus years ago have been dismissed. While it is unfortunate that it took so long to reach the conclusion that we had argued from day one, I’m glad that all involved can now move on.”

The incident happened on February 5, 2019, as police claimed that the video showed Durk driving past the famous Atlanta restaurant, the Varsity, and firing a gun. Several months later, warrants were issued for both Lil Durk and King Von, as Durk claimed his innocence from the jump saying it was all false allegations.

Now, to make things interesting, Fulton County DA Fani Willis issued a statement of her own with some shocking revelations. She went to say that her office declined to indict Durk for the shooting, citing insufficient evidence. However, she went to say that King Von would have been indicted for the incident and not Lil Durk – if he was still alive.
