First dubbed as a mixtape, Lil Durk‘s upcoming Lil Durk X2 project turned into an EP over time. The reason for this was the fact that people kept telling him it was too hard for him to give it out for free, so he met with his team and decided to make it official.
In his talk with Rolling Stone, the Chicago rapper also explains how he felt when artists like 50 Cent and Meek Mill recognized that he was one of the first to add voice effects to his raps, what the forthcoming effort is sounding like (it will be all ‘turn up’ music with features including Jeezy, Young Thug and Yo Gotti) and why he feels like he’s the number one rapper rapper in Chicago currently.
