Chicago-based singer Lili K is finally back with her new project called Songs with Friends. The EP is made up of five tracks, with appearances coming from The O’My’s, Klassik, B-Free, Evan Lane and Air Credits. It serves as the follow-up to her Ruby album, which dropped in 2015, and a little something ahead of her next full-length.
“Life happened, I had to figure things out, I had to fall back in love with music,” Lili wrote. “This EP = love. I decided it was finally time to release a new body of work, and I’m honestly scared shitless to release Planet of Flowers without the proper rollout, planning, funding, etc (the joys of being a truly independent artist). So about a month and a half ago, I decided I wanted to make an EP with people that I love. I needed to create for the sake of creating. And I’m just in awe of how it all came together.”
