Lonzo Ball Talks About Making Music, His Own Grade This Season & Lakers

Most of us look at Lonzo Ball as a basketball player, young prospect and someone that could possibly turn the Los Angeles Lakers into a legit playoff team. But in his own eyes, he’s more than that. He’s a son, father and also a rapper.

In a talk with ESPN’s Sam Alipour live from the studio, Zo speaks on an array of topics. Everything from his father LaVar Ball to why he raps and how the studio makes him feel. He says in the booth, he can say whatever he wants and it’s his escape from the 24/7 basketball mentality. He also talks about his rookie season, what letter grade he’d give himself (hint: it’s not an A) and why the Lake Show have a promising core of players that can improve even more next year.

Alipour was also laughed out of the booth during the interview.

We’ve been seeing hints of Lonzo possibly dropping another album this summer, so go catch up with Born 2 Ball if you haven’t already. Z-O get off, get off. Hey, whoa, yeah, hey, whoa.
