Lucky Daye has had a busy seven months since signing to RCA Records’ Keep Cool imprint. Following various singles, EPs and videos, the Los Angeles-via-New Orleans singer has quickly released his debut album.
Painted is made up of 13 tracks from the rising artist, with production handled entirely by Dernst “D’Mile” Emile II and Darhyl “Hey DJ” Camper Jr. “The album came from my purest emotions, because I wanna see it from the outside in,” he told Billboard. “It’s the only way I’ll be able to see it. Doing it, I’m feeling it. Trying to create it, it’s still inside of me, but once I get it out, I can look at it.”
Lucky is one of the most exciting new names in R&B, and this project shows exactly why.
