Last year, R&B mainstay Lyfe Jennings was intended to release his sixth studio album Ten Years Later, a title that commemorated 10 years since releasing his debut studio album. For whatever reason, the album never became available, but he did hit the road for a celebration tour instead. Now, back under the Sony imprint with RED Associated Labels, Jennings is looking to make his return this year with the arrival of his next studio effort Tree of Lyfe, which he describes as his most personal work to date.
The first offering from the forthcoming project is the smoothly laced Shaunny Mac-produced single “Pretty Is,” and is everything that Lyfe has always been about, and that’s uplifting and inspirational. The video to the female empowering song, follows a stripper, who has aspirations of doing much more with her life other than working the pole. So she sets out on a journey to better herself, even after all life’s ups and downs.
Lyfe Jennings new album is slated to release later this Summer.
