Ahead of her third studio album I Never Learn out in stores on Tuesday, Lykke Li took the opportunity to sit down and discuss some of her most recent thoughts on creating music. The Swedish singer spoke on the need to be as honest as possible within her craft, claiming that if she wanted to hide and lie, she would return to her day job. The idea of the new album was to make something stripped back and direct, making the most of feeling lost instead of striving for happiness and fulfilment. Lykke would also rather bake a pie than make a happy song. To her, that’s not interesting.
