Mac Miller has passed away at the age of 26 of an apparent overdose, TMZ reports.
The Pittsburgh rapper was pronounced dead at his San Fernando Valley home in Los Angeles County, California at around noon on Friday (September 7).
Rest in peace, Mac.
UPDATE: The McCormick family has released a statement in light of Mac’s death via Rolling Stone. You can read it below.
“Malcolm McCormick, known and adored by fans as Mac Miller, has tragically passed away at the age of 26. He was a bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans. Thank you for your prayers. Please respect our privacy. There are no further details as to the cause of his death at this time.”
