Last year, Majid Jordan introduced themselves to the masses, through their self-titled debut album. With the help of Noah ‘40’ Shebib and Drake, the Canada-based R&B duo were still able to creatively express themselves through OVO Sound. Now, a full calendar year removed from the effort, and few of their label-mates from the 6 rolling out projects after theirs; Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman return with a new single. In “Phases,” the tandem continues their signature synthpop and R&B sounds, leading many to speculate a surprise project is already in the works.
