Mark Ronson’s New Album Arrives In January
This week, Mark Ronson returned with his new single “Uptown Funk,” along with the announcement of his third studio album, Uptown Special. During a recent interview with Zane Lowe, the producer spoke on how the record was created, and how Jeff Bhasker first inspired him in Venice and California.
They travelled across the US, visiting everywhere from Louisiana to Illinois, and decided to record the project at Royal Studios, Memphis. Guests on the LP include Bruno Mars, Kevin Parker (Tame Impala), Andrew Wyatt, Hudson Mohawke, Emile, James Ford, and others, including 23-year old Keyone Starr, who was discovered in Mississippi.
