The Queen, Mary J. Blige, is trying to rise back to prominence and she’s found help in unfamiliar places for The London Sessions album. Looking across the pond, she has gathered folks like Disclosure, Sam Smith and Emeli Sande for inspiration. The 12-track album has no guests, but plenty of collaborators and from what we’ve heard so far, she’s trying a few different things musically, while still maintaining that soul we’re used to from her.
The forthcoming album hits stores and digital outlets on December 2.
