Compton veteran MC Eiht is gearing up for the release of his new album titled Which Way Iz West, which will actually be his first full-length in 11 years. Today, he’s giving people a taste of what’s to come with the first single “Represent Like This,” which features Westside Connection’s WC and DJ Premier. Brenk Sinatra produced the track.
“I decided to release the Dub C track first as an ode to true west coast music and because Dub is a true west coast originator” Eiht says. “I wanted to give fans a familiar taste of what we’re about and due to Crazy Toones passing away, it just seemed like the appropriate way to honor my cuzzins as they were one of the first artists I had the honor of rocking with early in my career. This is for the west coast and our heritage and it was only right to Represent Like This.”
Which Way Iz West is executive produced by DJ Premier and will be released on June 9th.
