With Nielsen Music delaying information by a day, the first week sales for Meek Mill’s long-awaited CHAMPIONSHIPS album has arrived. The project debuts at no. 1 on the Billboard 200, earning 229,000 equivalent album units in its first week. It moved 42,000 in traditional album sales, with the rest coming from streaming activity. Meek’s latest effort, also became his second chart-topper on Billboard, in follow-up to his 2015 album, Dreams Worth More Than Money.

The effort also logged the ninth-largest streaming week of 2018 and also became his best streaming week ever. As Meek gears up for his winter tour at the top of 2019, look for the project to likely approach platinum status in the coming months.
