Meek Mill Says He Would Work with Drake Musically Again

With his Championships project on the way in just a few days, Meek Mill has been doing some promo rounds to make people aware of what’s on the way.

He recently spent 58 minutes with Vulture, and in their profile, they got to talk about an array of topics, including past beefs, the new album and whether or not he’s still sliding in Nicki Minaj‘s DM’s. Plus voting and therapy.

As far as his relationship with Drake is concerned, he detailed when the beef came to an end how they communicated even when he was in jail:

“Me and Drake have actually been communicating for the last year. Even before I went to prison. It was based on the right time. We ain’t have nothing going on but a rap beef, we didn’t cause harm to each other. I think it took both of us going through some ups and downs, me in my career. It made me stronger. I’m moving off love right now, so it was only proper to link with someone I actually did business with before and called my friend before.”

On the possibility of a collaboration with the 6 God again:

“I think that’s possible. What we did was genuine. We didn’t just do it for the love of the people ‘cause we could’ve been done that. We waited until we were ready and did that.”

Meek also explained who was on the 18-track album when he let the outlet hear a preview of his work and it turns out that Cardi B, Ella Mai, Fabolous, Tay Keith, Anuel AA and Kodak Black are all on Championships. As a matter of fact, Cardi is firing shots at Nicki on their collab titled “On Me” as well as his own on the Tay Keith-produced “Automatic.”

Another tidbit from the album is the fact that he samples Beyoncé‘s “Me, Myself and I” on the Ella Mai-featured “24/7” cut, which is an ode to The Carters.
