Meek Mill Sentenced to 2-4 Years in Prison for Violating Probation

Last week, reports surfaced that local Philadelphia courts were looking at Meek Mill’s original 2008 parole violation, for a previous drug and weapons case. The 30-year-old rapper appeared before a Philly judge today, to discuss his fate after a series of events that happened this year.

The MMG rapper was linked to a St. Louis airport fight, and then once again when he was arrested a day after allegedly recklessly driving a motorcycle around Manhattan over the summer.

Originally, Mr. Mill was set to face just up to 20 months in prison, after previously being warned in 2015 that he could see serious consequences if he violated his parole. Well, Meek appeared in Pennsylvania courts today where he was handed a serious punishment of 2 to 4 years in prison.

During the hearings, his previous 2015 project lyrics on “R.I.C.O.” with Drake were talked in court; which read, “I’m on probation so let me not talk what’s illegal.”

Soon after, Meek had a chance to give his pleas in a 30-minute statement saying several times, I beg for mercy.” We’re hopeful this is last time the Philadelphia rapper has to spend time behind bars, and comes back home with the right circle around him. Keep your head up kid.
