Meek Mill Made a Mistake with Questioning Labels About Money

Meek Mill Talks Music Labels Not Paying

this makes Jay-Z look bad sir. . .

Five years ago, Memphis Bleek filed for bankruptcy bringing serious embarrassment to Jay-Z. While that situation has been cleared, we were told that Mr. Carter was really pissed off about Bleek not coming to him.

Since then, we’ve seen the Brooklyn rapper launching his own imprint, as well as getting a bigger position for the D’usse brand. Now, this week, we saw Meek Mill in a similar situation, calling out the music labels.

In a deleted statement on social media, Meek said, “I haven’t got paid from music and I don’t know much money labels make off me. I need lawyers ASAP.” Considering he’s only a few weeks removed from releasing his Expensive Pain and selling out Madison Square Garden over the weekend, we’re wondering where this complaint is stemming from.

With Meek in business partnerships with Rick Ross, Jiggaman and Puff Daddy; this is something that really could’ve been kept quiet. We understand the frustration from Meek, who’s still one of the biggest artists in the game. However, those previously three bosses would’ve wanted this situation kept internal.
