London producer MJ Cole and rapper Kojey Radical are sharing a video for their new collaboration, “Soak It Up.” In the moving visual, Kojey and his family sit in a small home reflecting on loss; however, one member brings a brighter spark with dance moves around the living room.
“’Soak it Up’ is a track about loss, turmoil, and ultimately acceptance in a relationship of another’s flaws,” Cole told The FADER. “The song started life as an instrumental that grew from me improvising at the piano. I then incorporated some home-made samples and let Kojey work his magic on top. The visuals represent beautifully the sense of loss that Kojey so poetically describes.”
