Jack Steadman has been releasing music as the frontman of Bombay Bicycle Club for the past decade, but now he’s branching out. Under the name Mr Jukes, he will release a new album titled God First this summer, which sees him collaborating with a bunch of different artists.
One of those tracks “Angels / Your Love,” which serves as the debut single, sees Steadman working with BJ The Chicago Kid. “BJ was the first person I collaborated with on this record,” he says about the song. “And if you listen to the horns in the chorus of this song, that was the feeling I had coming out of the studio that day. Pure awe and excitement.”
God First arrives June 9th on Island Records, with features from Lianne La Havas, Charles Bradley, Elli Ingram, Lalah Hathaway and more.
