Murs dropped his new album Captain California this past March, his first solo project since 2015’s Have a Nice Life. This week, the South Central rapper is back with a video for the song “Shakespeare on the Low,” his collaboration with rising Berkeley artist Rexx Life Raj. Murs lives out his lyrics with a twist on the Romeo and Juliet story, with rival gangs getting in the way of things.
“Montague Piru and a Crip Capulet,” he raps. “Knew that we would start a war but I had no regrets.”
