National Multiple Sclerosis Society Responds to Pusha T’s Diss Bars

At this point, everyone in the rap community has probably heard the Pusha T diss going at Drake at least once. While there are a few standout bars on the freestyle, one that was particularly touchy was the one towards Noah “40” Shebib. In the lines, Pyrex P makes fun of Drizzy’s in-house producer and engineer, by targeting his Multiple Sclerosis disease.

OVO 40, hunched over like he 80, tick, tick, tick
How much time he got? That man is sick, sick, sick
I got the devil flow, nigga, six, six, six
Surgical summer with it, snip, snip, snip

Now, on World MS Day, the National MS Society has responded to those Push lyrics with a statement. The MS Senior Director Eileen Curran said:

“It’s troubling to hear that a person’s disability would be made fun of by others. Multiple sclerosis, which affects more than 2.3 million people worldwide, is an often misunderstood disease. People living with MS face many challenges every day, which is why it’s so important to continue to raise awareness for MS so others can better understand those challenges. We at the National MS Society see this as an opportunity to raise awareness of this disease, the people who live with it, and the support that is out there – especially since today is World MS Day.”

Though his timing for those bars isn’t the best, it’ll be interesting to see how Drake responds to not only his best friend’s shots and other rhymes on “The Story of Adidon.”
