Though the talk surrounding the Surviving R. Kelly documentary has subsided since it aired on Lifetime, the investigations still continue.
A new video has surfaced that shows R. Kelly performing acts on an underage girl and was turned into the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago. CNN confirms that they have seen the video tape that allegedly shows a 14-year old girl with the veteran R&B singer.
Attorney Michael Avenatti tweeted that he has given the Cook County state’s attorney Kim Foxxa 45-minute tape showing Kelly “engaging in multiple sexual assaults of a girl underage” and that it is not the same tape that surfaced before, nor does it show the same actions he was accused of before. He also said the video is within the Illinois statute of limitations.
R. Kelly was acquitted of allegations in 2008 for counts of child pornography. Throughout his career, he has been accused of predatory behavior and even accused of running a sex cult in Atlanta and Chicago.
Kelly might be indicted as a result of his newly surfaced video.
