With Nicki Minaj and her team nearing the home stretch of readying their long-awaited QUEEN album, some eye-raising news about the project has surfaced. Tuesday night, Chun-Li hit up social media to make a plea to the legendary Tracy Chapman about getting in contact with her.
Minaj went to explain that she was trying to get a last second feature cleared that samples Ms. Chapman – saying that one of the greatest rappers of all-time is on the track (Jay, Kendrick?).
She soon put up a poll asking fans if she should release the effort next Friday – or wait a week (best thing to do) and release on August 17th. Well, after careful deliberation, she decided to go with the sample; which means she’ll be facing off against Ariana Grande on Billboard later this month.
