On May 17th 2015, Lionel Pickens, better known to the world as Chinx, was killed in a drive-by-shooting in Queens. The Far Rockstar had just performed 30 minutes prior to the incident, as gunmen fired multiple shots at the late rapper’s Porsche on Queens Blvd – leaving him hit 15 times.

However, the immediate family of Mr. Pickens can get some closure, as the NYPD has arrested two men they believe responsible for his death. Thursday morning, Jamar Hill, 26, and 32-year-old Quincy Homere were formally indicted by Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown. Those counts are: murder, attempted murder, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon in the shooting.

N.Y.C. Police Commissioner James O’Neill released a statement saying, “These suspects essentially stalked their victims before shooting them and making a getaway.”

Neither have entered a plea, but if convicted, both men face life in prison.
