Seattle duo Catacombkid and BeachesBeaches, better known as ODESZA, just released their third album A Moment Apart today. The LP has collaborations with the likes of Regina Spektor and Ry X, but it’s the Leon Bridges-featured “Across the Room” that stands out most.
You may be used to that vintage soul and gospel sound from Bridges, but he doesn’t sound at all out of place on this pop/electronic record. “Long hair across the room, baby she got that glow,” he croons. “I know you see me over here, so dance on me real slow.”
