It’s a Dreamville thing when Omen and Ari Lennox connect on wax. The two have come together on “Phone Home,” a track that came about in an interesting way.
As Omen puts it:
One day I decided to remix an Erykah Badu joint called “telephone medley”
I asked Ari Lennox to be apart of it and now we have Phone Home. Much Love.
The actual song in question is the second half of “What’s Yo Phone Number / Telephone (Medley / Ghost Of Screw Mix)” found on her But You Caint Use My Phone album that was released in November of 2015. Omen remixed the screwed joint and got Ari to sing the hook. Now if they can just get the blessing from Erykah Badu‘s herself to make the cipher complete.
