If you haven’t been counting, Curren$y has dropped a tape every month this year. It’s October, so you do the math on how many projects that is. He’s dropped so many projects that he’s simply naming them after the day they’re dropping now, because he’s run out of names. Last month’s was Andretti 9/30, which featured all production from Cardo & Cash Fargo. If you’ve listened to anything by Cardo, the two are a match made in heaven and that’s one of the reasons the tape is still in our rotations.
The tape is only 8 tracks long, and Curren$y just knows how to get his point across in that short period of time. His raps about weed, cars, clothes and more cars have really peaked this year with all this music he’s dropping. He sounds more comfortable than ever on all his tracks, and we’ve been seeing the fruits of that labor. He’s especially comfortable on the Cardo produced “Traffic” where he ends his verse talking about how he just wants to fill up his tank so he can catch his nephews Baseball game. One of Curren$y’s biggest assets is how he can make others relate to him, and he does that on 9/30 just like all the others. If this isn’t your rotation, be sure to put it there, it’s especially good for car rides.
