Straight from Crooklyn, Better known as BROOKLYN. Buckshot, DJ Evil Dee and 5ft formed one of my favorite groups of all time, in Black Moon. With the release of their debut studio album “Enta da Stage” nearly 20 years ago, we were granted the group’s first single (Who Got Da Props?) setting the tone for the album and helping the 90s hip-hop movement flourish. As affiliates of The Native Tongues collective, the single instantly became an underground hit; which we decided to give props and pay homage to today.
It’s no coincidence we’re still keeping this track in rotation, due to being intrigued for the new state of rap with influx of artist all around the world delivering quality music; as they pay homage to Brothers who Lyrically Act and Combine Kickin Music Out On Nations.
