Longtime fans of Southern Rap are no strangers to Houston’s Papa Reu. He has been a fixture in the city’s underground rap scene since relocating to Houston at the age of 16. Native to Trinidad and Tobago, Papa Reu is known for blending the island sounds of his youth with the music of his new Southern home; a style he calls ‘thug hall.’ With 3 independent albums, released under his own Reu Muzik, Inc. label, totalling over 100,000 sales units and collabos with a roster of Southern heavy hitters (Cash Money, Scarface, Z-Ro etc.) over the years, Papa Reu is an underground Southern staple.
Bumble Bee (What The Buzz About?) is the follow up single to “Put It In Da Air” with Rick Ross from Papa Reu’s upcoming album, Reu’d Boy, dropping later this year.
