Six years on from their JIMMY mixtape, Chicago’s own Pivot Gang have just released their debut album called You Can’t Sit with Us. The group, which consists of rappers Saba, Joseph Chilliams, Frsh Waters and MFnmelo, producers daedaePIVOT and SqueakPIVOT, and DJ Dam Dam, join forces over 13 tracks.
Outside of the group itself, guest features come from Smino, Mick Jenkins, Jean Deaux, Femdot, Sylvan LaCue, Kari Faux and Benjamin Earl Turner. On the track “Bible,” there’s also an appearance from dinnerwithjohn aka John Walt, Saba’s cousin and Pivot member who was sadly killed in 2017.
