Questlove recently sat down with Urban Legends for an oral history of Things Fall Apart for its 20th anniversary. In it, he revealed that unreleased J Dilla production will appear on The Roots’ upcoming album, End Game, and where it originated from.
“At one point, ‘Table of Contents’ was gonna be a four parter,” Questlove told Urban Legends. “I made a third verse for Tariq that wound up going to The Legendary. So that was part three. I’m actually saving part four for End Game right now. Dilla did the beat for part four. I’m gonna use Dilla’s music for opening the End Game album.”
We’ll be waiting impatiently for that first track on the album to arrive.
