R. Kelly‘s judgement day is finally near. Cook County Illinois prosecutors have charged him with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse after getting an arrest warrant from a judge Friday morning.
The news comes after a newly surfaced video was found to show Kelly having sex with an underage girl, who claimed to be 14-years old in the clip.
As of now, it is not clear if the charges come as a response to the video.
Kelly is scheduled to appear in court on March 8 on these charges. His attorney Steven Greenberg said he had not been notified of charges when the warrant was issued.

UPDATE: Late Friday night, R. Kelly turned himself into Chicago Police after being charged on multiple counts of aggravated sexual abuse. His victims include at least three underage girls between the ages of 13-17. His lawyer says he is “extraordinarily disappointed and depressed” about the indictment and maintains his innocence.
Kelly and his lawyer hope he is acquitted at trial.
