Rapsody is returning to last year’s Eve album for a new remix of the closing track “Afeni.”
For it, she recruits Inglewood’s own D Smoke for a storytelling verse, who joins her and Maroon 5’s PJ Morton who also appears on the original song. “May I present this conversation starter, just picture a single mister tryna raise a daughter,” D raps. “Envision him planning summer trips, take her to Raging Waters, challenges of July made this father afraid of August.”
