One of the most anticipated new series, The Get Down, is coming to Netflix this Friday courtesy of Baz Luhrmann and Stephen Adly Guirgis. Aside from the show itself, there’s also an epic original soundtrack dropping on the same day, made up of 24 tracks. Artists on the album include Miguel, Janelle Monáe, Leon Bridges, Christina Aguilera, Nile Rodgers, ZAYN, Malay, 6LACK, Michael Kiwanuka and many others.
Before the whole thing comes out, Ebro premiered a collaboration from Raury and Jaden Smith titled “Losing Your Mind.” The two artists also jump on the phone to talk about the song and series, which is based around the transition from the disco to hip-hop era in the Bronx during the late ’70s.
