EXCLUSIVE: Rick Ross ‘Little Havana’ Alleged Jay-Z Diss Explained

Rick Ross ‘Little Havana’ Jay-Z Diss Story

related: Rick Ross – Outlawz (feat. Jazmine Sullivan & 21 Savage)

With Rozay’s new Richer Than I Ever Been album out now, the talk about the project has been who was he referencing on his Little Havana song.  We noticed that the behind-the-scenes chatter had become so big, that members of the Joe Budden Podcast were even taken back by the song.

While no one wanted to directly jump off the ledge and point at Jay-Z as the main culprit Rick Ross had those words for, we’re here to tell you that the track is not a Jay-Z diss at all.  After a private conversation with one of Rozay’s day-one associates of his career, the track was not in reference to anything with the Jiggaman.

The lines that everybody believed was about Jay, was “Roger Goodell boy, he ain’t a corneich. I was really throwin’ money, I really saw Meech. And I let them rapper niggas get closer to Meek.”

On a surface level, we could understand why some would think it’s Jay on the strength of the relationship with Roger Goodell and Meek being managed by Roc Nation.

We expect Ross will break down those lyrics later, if someone has courage to ask him on a public platform; as this entire situation to be kept on hush while the album is still being promoted.

Another reason why Ross will never disrespect Jay-Z in public, is because Jigga is the person that gave him his break in 2005 as President of Def Jam.  This also was followed up by Rozay’s career not being damaged during the peak beef with 50 Cent and his alter-ego Curly. Take a look at the bonus media below.

Niggas soul being sold and still on a leash
Roger Goodell boy, he ain’t a corneich
I was really throwin’ money, I really saw Meech
And I let them rapper niggas get closer to Meek
It ain’t ’bout who made the most but let’s make a toast
‘Cause a lot of niggas told and kept it on the low (oh yeah)
I was self made, nigga, never won a vote (oh yeah)
