The Night I Went To… Has Finally Arrived
Rockie Fresh has been one of Chicago’s brightest, but most quiet stars and MMG’s best kept secret for sometime now. He can sometimes get lost in the shuffle of his Chicago counterparts who drop project after project, and his MMG labelmates who drop more often and stay in the headlines. Truth be told, Rockie can spit with the best of them and make music that’s just as good. He’s been rather silent for almost two years now, only dropping a song or two here and there.
As 2015 ended, Rockie started to tease a new project The Night I Went To… and in the coming weeks would even drop a few tracks. He insisted that the mixtape would be coming soon and dropped track after track to raise anticipation. The Chicago spitter took to Twitter to announce that the tape would be arriving on the 21st and tonight he’s made good on that promise. Using Snapchat and Twitter to communicate with his fans he let everyone know that it would be dropping at 12 so we can listen to it all day tomorrow.
The Night I Went To… is very light on features, only enlisting Chris Brown, Ed Sheeran, and MMG label head Rick Ross along for the trip. The production features Zalezy, Sevn Thomas, Mike Daley, Sak Pase and a few others that help give Rockie his signature sound.
