Royce Da 5’9″ is at his lyrical best on his new track called “Field Negro,” which sees him taking on racial matters.
The impressive song clocks in at almost six minutes, with an instrumental that twists and turns with the Detroit rapper’s flow. “You ain’t been getting this money all your life, oh you forgot about the roaches and all the mice,” Royce raps. “Out here living an alcoholic rapper artist life, what happened to art is life?”
It’s produced by Royce himself, who also references the likes of Kanye West, Wale and Tory Lanez throughout.
