As promised, Royce Da 5’9″ is back with the video for his J. Cole collaboration, “Boblo Boat,” taken from his forthcoming solo album.
Directed by J. Cole himself, the new visual finds the two artists at a carnival and rapping in-between ferris wheels and other amusements. “Nothing compared to our family trips, my uncle shook hands with a manly grip,” Royce raps on the song. “All this hand-me-down shit I had had an uncanny fit, all the gangstas I had in my family had me anti-bitch.” Cedric the Entertainer also makes an appearance as a security guard.
The Book of Ryan album, which he’s calling his “greatest piece of work,” will be released on May 4th.
