Run The Jewels have sampled Gang Starr’s classic “DWYCK” for their new song “Ooh LA LA,” giving feature credit to DJ Premier and Greg Nice.
“There’s not a lot of classic undermined golden age material that hasn’t been turned into a jam,” El-P told Zane Lowe on Beats 1. “And I’ve been plotting on this for probably the last three albums.”
“Ooh LA LA” is taken from their upcoming album, along with “The Yankee and The Brave” which dropped on Sunday.
