We’ve only heard a taste of Sampha‘s debut album, but it’s already sounding like one of the best records of the year. Following “Timmy’s Prayer” and “Blood on Me,” the London singer is back with one of his most personal moments yet — a new single titled “(No One Knows Me) Like the Piano.”
On it, he reminisces on the thing that knew him better than anyone in the world — the piano in his mother’s home. “An angel by her side, all the times I knew we couldn’t cope,” he sings on the track. Sampha lost his mother to cancer in 2015, so it’s a piece that hits close to home.
