Skepta has been in the music industry for over a decade, but 2016 is probably his biggest year yet with Konnichiwa going gold and picking up the Mercury Prize. In collaboration with Levi’s Music Project, the London MC has released a new documentary titled Music & Revolution.
The eight-minute piece opens up with Skepta spitting bars about how being called African in school was a diss. “It’s nice to come back now and show the kids who are still in that mindset — that I was in years ago — that you can still become successful,” he says about returning to his home of Tottenham, before teaming up with industry experts to mentor a group of 12 young musicians.
