Smino has been testing the waters over the past couple of years with loose tracks, features for Chicago affiliates like Noname and Saba, and of course, his debut EP blkjuptr. 2017 is set to be a big one for the St. Louis rapper, and today, he’s back with his first release of the year in the form of “Anita.” With Smino and his girlfriend Jean Deaux playing pool in the artwork, the bouncy and smooth Monte Booker-produced song is a little taste of what’s to come.
