In a sit-down interview with Complex Magazine, Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd opened up on a track that he wrote for Katy Perry – which would be his follow up credit to Beyonce’s hit-single, “Formation.” With the Mississippi duo only a few hours removed from releasing their sophomore album ScremmLife 2, Swae also shared first details for his debut solo project, Swaecation.
He went to say, “I have eight songs right now that I feel like are candidates for the project, but I gotta make sure they’re all up to par.” With Mike WiLL Made-It always around for some expertise input, we’re sure listeners are intrigued at Mr. Lee going a solo route; but Slim Jxmmi was also on hand to give his two cents on the industry wanting to separate the Mississippi pair.
Jxmmi said, “We got separate tracks, because we can both rap, but I don’t want to satisfy the world like that.” Maybe Slim has a change of heart after the two wrap up their SL2 Tour later this year.
