CTRL had some gems, but one of the fan favorites was undoubtedly “The Weekend.” The side-piece anthem is a new school baby making anthem by SZA, but that all changes thanks to Calvin Harris, who puts a funky spin to the record. The record goes from a bedroom banger to a two-step single, that could double as a 70’s hit.
Is it better than the original? The jury is still out, but one thing is for sure, Calvin didn’t fuck the song up. This shit is actually dope.
