Tee Grizzley Talks Upcoming Projects, Success and Hunger

We’ve all heard of the come up for Tee Grizzley, since “First Day Out.” But he gets very personal in this episode of Open Space, and dives into some of the background stories behind his journey.

Apparently, he was ghostwriting for rappers in the city since an early age, but once he noticed that he can actually do it himself, that’s what he did.

He approached Helluva with “First Day Out” and the producer hesitated in giving him a beat. Except, once he rapped the bars, he knew he had potential. Tee even guaranteed him that the song would make some noise in the city and had a marketing ploy to get it there. Nobody knew he was out of jail, so seeing him in the video first as he hid out from the public, is what made the single take off. Enough that LeBron James and JAY Z gave the record props.

Grizzley briefly touches on his name and upcoming projects, teasing a mixtape titled Still My Moment before he drops his debut album Activated.
