The Best Of: So So Def Rap

So So Def records recently celebrated their 20th anniversary with a huge concert in Atlanta. Now when we say huge we really mean huge. Anyone whoever meant anything to the label showed up for the show. We’re talking the likes of Jay-Z, Usher, Ludacris, Young Jeezy, Bow Wow, Kris Kross, Lil Jon and so many more. The level of excitement and joy in the arena was a magical scene that you almost can’t describe. What Jermaine Dupri has been able to do over his career is simply fascinating.

In honor of Jermaine and all the greatness that is So So Def we decided to put together a Spotify playlist to showcase some of their many great tracks. Included are some of their club hits of the 90’s and shifts into the continued dominance of the 2000’s. Some of these monster hits include Jagged Edge’s “Where Da Party At” and JD and Ludacris’ classic cut “Welcome To Atlanta.”

So sit back and enjoy and never forget the greatness that was So So Def.

Peep the playlist after the jump.
