Common Sense opens up for rare look into crossover hit
In the latest episode for Complex’s Magnum Opus original series, Common is the next artist featured to go through events that led up to a masterpiece Like Water for Chocolate. At the time, Sense was involved romantically with Erykah Badu, as the two broke down the creative process and influences for his hit-record “The Light.” A few sessions and experiences with the late and legendary Jay Dee led to them creating some magic for his 2000 classic album.
