The Week OnSMASH [6.7.14]

TheWeekOnSMASH

With the amount of graduation celebrations happening throughout the past week, we know there’s a chance you missed out on some major things that took place during the opening week of April. And of course like any other week, we got you covered.

The week started off strong following Hot 97’s annual Summer Jam festival where things heated up. As we saw the much anticipated reunion of G-Unit live on stage together, which brought the news of an upcoming album from the group, Funk Flex and Dame Dash went back and forth on the radio, Common announced a new album following his deal with Def Jam and much more.

To keep us musically entertained we were blessed with the release of some posse cuts from the likes of G-Unit, A$AP Mob and the MMG family other solo tracks came from Drake, Waka Flocka, Mary J. Blige, among others. The small amount of projects that were released this week came from 50 Cent, Madlib, Alex Wiley and a few others.

We also added some can’t miss live performances from Pharrell rocking the Apollo Theater for his Spike Lee directed #AmexUNSTAGED Concert, Sam Smith performing live from the Roundhouse in London, 50 Cent performing on Good Morning America and a few others touching the stage for performances.

Keep up with everything over the past seven days with The Week OnSMASH.
